Asiye, The numbers reported are what are reported to NetBackup from the library. We track the amount of data written to the tape; however, depending on the compressibility of the data determines the amount of data that can be placed on any individual piece of media. For example a large text file (nMB, where n is some number) will compress very well going to tape, but would still nMB of disk space when restored. The nMB is reflected in the bpmedialist output. Yet another file, which is not as compressible but smaller than nMB may actually take up more space on tape than our previous mentioned text file. HTH.
