I have installed VxSS NOM on my W2K Master server. Not much of a problem,
if you leave it there and don't move to implement Access Management. NOM is
not really so great, it is most of the time incorrect and will not work it
isn't patch to MP1.
If Veritas decided to work more on NOM,

So far I havent seen even single positive reply, I
have gotten few very negatives.
Can someone from Veritas shed some light? My questions
are more from the implementation of VxSS in a
NetBackup 6.0MP1 environment:
1. Is it recommeneded to install Authentication Broker
+ Roor Broker on same
From what I have heard from Veritas, they recommend
that the VxSS and NOM server be one in the same.

Plan, test, validate!
You may install the Root + AB on the same machine
You will want an AB on the media server
You will NOT want NOM on the Master
You will NOT want EMM on the Media
You WILL want plenty of memory
Tried it at version 5.1MP3. Eventually got a note from Symantec saying
that they were giving up implementing it in our environment.
It produced a quite noticeable amount of lag accessing the GUIs, and
since they weren't able to get AD to work here it would've required
managing 60-odd users'
Its not worth the headache.
