Hi,
The ACS/LS is necessary if you have more than one backup server that wants to
access the Library. If your library is going to be access by only one server is
not necessary.

Hi,
The installer only allows me to select 1
drive out of a possible 6 that are installed in the library?
You need to add your media servers in (that also connect to the other tape
drives), assuming that is how you have configured your environment, then
thye should be discovered.
Justin.
Hi,
On the media server you need to define/make sure they are defined as being
connected to the robot, (tpautoconf -a) may help unless you have a strange
configuration?
How do you attach to your drives physically?
cat /proc/scsi/scsi on the media server, are the drives directly
connected?
Hi,
7 devices on a single host?
You must be using a SAN fabric then?
If so, you need to configure that first.
Justin.

Won't give you complete solution, but will give you some tips.
Has you already have LTO2 tape -first make note of what Maida Type you have
them setup as.
When you set up new library in NB
The LTO4 tape drive needs to be setup as the same Media Type as your LTO2 tapes
- this way NB will know
Hi,
Yes it is, or it seems to be, example for the DB connectors
(Oracle/MSSQL/etc) and the Application (Exchange/etc) they are in a new
product together,
DATABASE AND APPLICATION PACK
So only 1 serial number for everything (in this example).
With NBU7 after upgrading the keys through the
The is a new capacity license with all futures inside. No need to buy client
or database license.

Vmware licensing is also simplified. You don't need a license per guest OS
type any more. One license will let you back up both Windows and Llinux
guests on the same hardware.

I am still in the very lengthy process of converting our 5.1 keys to 6.5.
