If it helps at all, we're running Silkworm 24K Directors, and they'vebeen

We're a Brocade shop on the FC sideno problems at all, including our3800s

Solaris 9 nb 5.0 mp6
Is there something in netbackup that allows for an image to be created for a entire server very quickly for a DR restore situation? I am not looking for file by file backup like we do know but something that runs very
You need other products for that.

Anyone out these using Ultimus Raid 5200s for any purpose? My boss
recently went to a storage conference and is all hot and heavy on this
new SAN solution. Normally, I wouldn't care what the storage guys do,
but now he's talking about moving my Disk-2-Disk backup solution to this
thing!
Ok So BRM can do this then? I am running 5.0 is there a version that
runs under 5.0 or do I have to have 6.0 installed?

We had 4 Brocade Ds16s setup, between Sun servers, EMC storage, STK tape

We migrated to McData, and it took a while to work the bugs out (turned
out to be the switches didn't have enough buffer credits). Once we
we are having problems with a media server unable to connect to the EMM

initially set up and tested, but haven't had to use until now.

The README contains everything.
You can do a direct upgrade from mp3 to mp5. Just make sure you follow
procedures and upgrade Master server first, then any media servers you
have, and finally the clients.

I did 5.1 mp3 to mp5 on my 4 Solaris servers without any problems.
The README files included aren't very clear but the procedure itself is
simple and straight forward.

I probably wouldn't be jumping on SAS today.not that there'sanything wrong
with it, It's just not widescale enough that I'd feelconfidant running on it
yet.
For D2D, I'd be looking at something that provided some sort
ofcompression/de-duplication though, like the REO product line,
