If I understood correctly, older clients are not supported - I think 5.1 or higher is needed for 6.0! My clients (some) run 3.4 and are not supported, and I cannot upgrade them to the later version at this stage. Hopefully they will be phased out in 2008. Regards Simon Weaver 3rd Line

Not supported or won't work? We are running some 3.4 clients with the master at NBU 5.12MP6 and they work fine. Unfortunately we can't upgrade the Solaris 2.6 clients so we are stuck with 3.4. Of course if they won't work with 6.x then we can push them to upgrade or get rid of the boxes. :)

I just upgraded several versions of the NBU Client (3.4, 4.5 and 5.1) to a NBU Master running 6.0. It really is a mixed bag. My goal was to upgrade everything to at least 5.1 and I did eventually get that done but in the mean time I migrated lots of clients with mixed versions. Old System -

Sorry about that... The file would contain anything you don't want to backup. If I was trying to avoid backing up /export/home I would add a line with /export/home If I wanted to avoid all files that ended with dbf: I would add a line with *.dbf. And so on. Kevin
