Paul, Please clarify what you mean by the application I assume Netbackup. Good question. Hadn't thought of that. You may have to make Netbackup think of it as a completely separate media server, and device host all the way through. That way the it knows what path (NIC) to take when running a

This might be late in the topic but its my 2 cents... We have an enviornment where we have 4 media servers and 1 master server. Each server has at least 3 different nics/networks. We use one network for administrative purposes, another for backup purposes, and a third for production purposes.

You should be able to achieve this without anu configuration changes to NB itself. We use multiple nics and you just have to make sure the routing is correct. When bpcd on the media server connects to the client the client will then connect back to that same ip (assuming that ip is allowed in

All, I've got 6.5.1 installed on a Windows 2003 Master and the GUI above the activity monitor doesn't seem to refresh. For example, if I delete a failed job it still shows the machine up top with a red ex. Also when I've got zero activity on the tape drives I still show two disks writing data.

I upgraded from 5.1 to 6.5 in Oct 2007. It was a very smooth update that worked really well. I did all my prework and made sure that my catalog was in sync. I had no bad tape entries in the database. I also upgraded my WHOLE environment in a 12 hour window. I started with my master server

I get this same issue, if you go up to view there is a refresh all option, but we really shouldn't have to hit that to get the activity monitor to refresh for us...other than that I really haven't noticed any other issues with the update, of course, now that I've said something... - Michael
