I had this problem in one of my OS policies -- for me cross mount points was
not checked when it should have been.

Ok. I'm doing a Full backup of mailstore, with Status 0. We are running
Exchange CCR and take backup of the active node.
I have heard that the backup have to be done by the passive node for the LOG
files to be deleted. Can anyone confirm this?
Performing backups at every remote site is complicated, expensive and risky
too. Doing backup across the WAN is easier, reliable, and more secure.
Have you experimented Riverbed Copy Utility (RCU)?
It would be a great fit.
By overcoming bandwidth limitations and reducing network latency,

DSUs do span. DSSUs don't. Symantec got it half right.

All,
I'm looking for guidance on using Linux in our NetBackup environment.
We are getting ready to update our current infrastructure. If we go
with Linux we will use the Dell hardware but I need to know from you is
how the systems should be sized, what HBA's do you recommend, what OS,
does it

We had problems with qlogic cards in redhat a couple releases ago, went
with emulex and haven't looked back.
We've got 6.5.1 installed on RH-ES5 on AMD processors and it kicks butt.
It's the fastest media server I've got. We had lots of problems with
combinations of earlier releases of RH NB

Bob, Curtis, David, Ed,
Thanks a lot for your suggestions.
I will follow David's suggestion to melt all my small drives into a
big Volume using Solstice or Veritas VM.
Thank you

How, from the windows command line, can I execute the bemcmd command on a

We're running SLES9SP4 (I'd like to get up to 10SP1, but haven't yet)
We had some issues with init scripts starting on 6.0, but with 6.5 it's been
addressed.
It's on a Dell 2650 and is using a QLogic 2342 dual channel fiber card.
It's been really solid.

I don't normally post my personal opinions about products, but for some
reason right now I feel inspired.
I don't get the whole Riverbed thing. I don't see any advantages in the
backup arena over using a more standard dedupe appliance or dedupe
backup software,
