Hello, my department just bought a new Spectra Logic tape library and I'm tasked with installing it. Where do I get the information for the configuration parameters like robot type, drive type, etc? Is the provided by Spectra Logic or Symantec? Thank you.

Speaking of mapping patch, I noticed that mapping patch that I downloaded last month, was an older version than what was shipped with 6.5.3 patch. So I had to discard the mapping patch and just went with 6.5.3 mappings. In my case i only have LTO3 drives with an older library and all entries

bpimagelist -U -client [client_name] -d [mmdd] | awk '{print $5}' | grep ^[0-9] where -d is a date equal or prior to the oldest image for the client. That will give you the size of each backup in kbytes...add those up for the total per client, then add up total per client for total data
