When you use -X you're telling it to open an ssh tunnel. Typically that sets the DISPLAY variable and updates the $HOME/.Xauthority file on the host and for the user to which you're attaching. Due to this you should NOT set the DISPLAY variable after login as it is the tunnel session that sets

Yes you can create scripts to wrap it all up, and we do. We also do a lot of configuration work so we get both a standard install and tune the networks as we require. It is less possible to do this with Master Server and Media Server as in some cases the questions asked depend on the

Not clear on what you are stating. tape report like in vault? And what do you mean bye the images on media PROCESS? Not clear on how you are doing it. My tapes are sent off by date, if I need to do a restore I call back the tapes for that date ( after I verify in the BAR that the file(s)
