To make a oracle restore/recover, you start script directly on client. You
also can connect on RMAN and run the commands to make a restore indicating the
NetBackup how media manager.

While not applicable to this request, I would also document all of the
images being expired so that in case you do mess up, you have the
bpimagelist output that you can use to go back and unexpire, import, or
have on hand to know which tapes need to be held out
Interested in a related question. Traditionally the media and master servers
were split because they had such different requirements -- media needed I/O and
master needed ram and processor. But doesn't it now make sense to combine the
media and master in a multiprocessor box like a Sun 5240?

I see that you are using backup central to post. So search for Media ID /
Barcode rules. This is a two days old threat that may covers your problem.
Give me more details of the problem. Find one of the tapes that give you the
error, go to the GUI -media, find it and post the media ID and
