You can only do 9 incremental levels of backup on the NetApps with NDMP. I haven't used that SET UPDATE directive before (or the SET LEVEL command I detail below - I run a weekly full on my volumes, so 9 incremental's is enough), but just a quick run down: There are 10 dump levels for NetApp

Good Morning Nizar Netbackup is having problems writing to the tape drive. Do you have the netbackup bptm logging turned on? If so it will be a good source for information on this problem. Depending on the problem you might have to up the verbose level for bptm to 5. You might also look at

With this little bit of information it sounds like you might have a configuration mismatch with what nbu thinks the drive path is and what it really is on the OS. Check the OS's path for that drive and compare that to what nbu has. If that's not it, you may have some hardware issue with the

I have always found that iperf far exceeds the performance with NetBackup, even when as you suggest trying to use similar buffer sizes. I think you may be better off testing with NetBackup. You can use the GEN_DATA directives to create data without involving disk read speeds:

Hello, I am hoping someone can shed some light on an urgent issue I am having. I recently eneabled a Lotus-Notes agent on our Windows 2008 R2 Notes server to start backing up open databases. After the initial run, I noticed the backup was double in size and took close to 20hrs to complete.
