I spoke about this a while back with Symantec (3 weeks or so), and its
not fully supported by them yet.
In test, you can do what you like but as it stands, it is possible,
but Symantec cannot offer assistance at this stage.

I use C:\ Drive and Shadow Copy Components or System State for Windows

Well for those in a similar position to myself, the End Of Life for
Support on 5.1 is Dec 31st 08. Still unclear if Symantec are willing to
support a mixed upgrade scenario of 5.1 / 6.5
Sort of guess they may not
So MP3 better come out soon :-)
In all cases, the System State Component and the C: Drive will be
sufficient to recover the C: Drive of the OS in question :-)
Leaving off the System State for Windows 2000 boxes (and its known as
Shadow Copy in Windows 2003), will mean essential critical system files
cannot be recovered
Hi Boris
Win2k3 Master - 36 Media Servers Win2k3 and approx 300+ LAN based
clients, including VM machines.
Master is a HP Proliant Dual Core with 2GB RAM.
Certainly isnt chocked, and runs along fine. approx 55-60TB Data or so a
week.
The only issue I see is that the SSO sharing checks can
to confirm there would be partial support
