The horizon management software isn't software that you load on your PC. It is
a physical module that is plugged into the Library and is then access over the
internet via a web browser.
Hope that helps

Justin,
Yes we had exactly the situation. We determined with the help of our friends
at Symantec / Veritas that there was indeed a bug and they sent a replacement
binary for bpbrm.exe for our windows media servers. In actuality what was
happening is that when the restore was initiated
Pure Disk is great if you don't need system disaster
recovery capabilities and only want to protect the
actual data. It does single instance storage so you
save on disk space but it is also licensed by the
terabyte so it can get expensive if you have lots of
systems. I believe the cost is $1,000
Justin,
We do multi-tape catalog backups everyday. Here's how
we do it.
create a standard policy to backup the images
directory to tape.
/usr/openv/netbackup/db/images
We do have an exclude not to get the masters images.
Then we configure the catalog to backup to do the

Also check to see if you have an expiration date

You provide little information on what you want to

NetBackup at all so you don't have to install server
to use DLO. Backup Exec DLO is an actual module that
plugs into Backup Exec Server.
Charles,
I have witnessed the same thing in my NDMP arena and
opened a case with Veritas that went all the way up to
engineering without resolution. We determined the
cause but there is no fix at the moment and will need
to go into a MP. They didn't feel that it would make
it into MP2 due in
This is in the compatability list:

You will notice that for the EMC product line it says
support for SSO, which lacks in the NetApp line.
The issue is that NetApp doesn't support SCSI

Yes we to are a veritas / netapp shop. The features
look extremely interesting until you look at the
pricetag that is attached. Veritas charges per gig

have nothing to do with that storage. From what we
have seen equated to our needs, it is
