this is why the GA is not supported with solaris 10 media server. The Patch is 
fixing this.

For some reason I HAVE TO install NetBackup 5.1 at a customer site on
Solaris 10 sparc platform. Minimum revision supported on Solaris 10 is
5.1 MP2. I have 5.1 GA installation media but it is not working
(segmentation fault during installation). I need urgently 5.1 MP2 (or
higher) installation media. There is no possibility to order it from
Symantec/Veritas. Do not ask me why. :-(

I'm looking for good people to zip/tar 5.1 MP2 revision (or higher)
installation media and prepare link to download over the Internet. Can
someone help?

I have used 5.1MP2/3/4 on Solaris 10 without issue.  If you are getting 
segfaults you may have other problems.

problematic software/libraries installed. Pure installation.

Just as a me too... I had this problem with my 6.0 install CD on Solaris
- - the CD was corrupted (or the CDROM in the server was glitchy) and
caused segfaults while installing.  What I ended up doing was putting the
CD in another server and remotely mounting the CD.  Then it all worked
fine.
