need to know alot more about the setup and the Netware clients, what types of
files you are backing up, Netware server configuration.

guessing that this is simply a Backup over the "Network". Do you have any idea
as to what speed they are using or what

Hi all
Our environment is netbackup 5.1 mp3
LTO2 tapes drives
End to end GIGE network
Netwrare 6 sp4
Our backups are running at 1.5 - 3.5 mb/sec
Are there any performance parameters that we can set in Netware to help speed things up ?
I am not a NetWare person so be gentle :)

first thought is that you've got a NIC duplex mismatch somewhere along the
line..
client
is set to auto/auto and the switch end hardcoded or vice
versa.
