Linux media server only makes device paths for half of the drives.

Can anyone tell my why the drive paths on Fabric B cannot be detected and
configured?

Our admins executed a kill script when we were back on 5.0 and occasionally had
hanging processes (especially on Linux and HP-UX boxes) that ate up CPU...they
made it a cron job. [hanging processes have not been an issue in 6.0 and beyond
for us] That's how they did it.
...and double check your auth.conf file in /usr/openv/java.

because they can hit the wrong thing by accident. I am very eager to
receive Aptare license and just keep people out of the GUI all together

Has anyone encountered a problem where a SAP Agent backup just stalls, fails to
load the tape, freezes the tape and then downs the drive...while the OS backups
have no problem?
And does anyone have an idea of what may cause this?

something in the way they kicked off their restore that caused the following:

Your initial performance may be misleading because it could be buffered data.
I would make sure your tuning is in order; and then I would start investigating
how the data is getting to the VTL...ethernet or fibre...what is the hardware
in between...we ourselves in one instance discovered a 10 G
We're getting 94.29% savings on SQL backups with a different vendor. We have
not tested backups with Data Domain although their product was strongly
considered during our RFP process.
