Just to add to this... I created a .tpl file using the BAR Tool, as Oracle installed locally. So I am running with this, trial and error at the moment. I just want to be sure what I am doing sounds right, and importantly, I can recover! Jonathan Ok, from BAR tool on the client, created a template. That is now configured in my Oracle Policy, and so far so good. Ran the job, got status 29. I think the Template may have been bad, so I have deleted and created a new one, as per this: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=contentid=TECH44190 Because I am very limited in the understanding of Oracle and what I should / should not be using, I have a test VM to play with, which is what I am doing now. So at least no harm can come to this setup. Looking into the logs I got setup, it looks like its 10.2.0 (INF - Using: e:\oracle\product\10.2.0\bin\rman.exe ) ? S.
