You can also grow the log using fsadm, if you don't want to place it on
a separate device and it was built too small originally. Man fsadm_vxfs
for the specific flag.

Which is the version of SF? Do you have the bootdisk under vxvm?? In /etc/vx
there is the file volboot??
Maybe you have to re-create the volboot .this tech note can help you.
