having /opt as a separate filesystem isn't supported by Solaris. You can have
stuff under /opt (e.g. /opt/coolstack) as a separate filesystem but putting
/opt separate will cause problems.
This isn't theoretical. I tried the same thing and it worked for awhile then it
didn't and the system was
