Dear All,
It is probably a beginners question... Sorry for that.
On several volumes vxprint shows:
v volumename DISABLED ACTIVE
pl volumename-01 DISABLED IOFAIL
pl volumename-02 DISABLED IOFAIL
After the reboot all the disks show as online in "vxdisk -o alldgs list".
# vxdisk -o alldgs list
Darren,
Thank you for your answer.

Dear All,
Could you please help me to understand output from vxdisk command.
There is something strange with c2t48d0s2 and c2t58d0s2 - they show as
exported (although group id is the same as the imported disks).
Thank you,
Aleksandr

Dear Gurus,
My disk group appdg consists of 2 disks and 6 volumes (each of the
volumes has 2 plexes - one on each of the disks).
I would like to :
A) detach one of the disk from appdg (leaving the data intact)
B) reattach the disk to the different disk group (thus moving the
volumes from one group
Dear Guru's,
Couple of questions about the striped-mirror volume below:
1. Why the volume size ( 20971520 ) doesn't match the size of any of
the plexes ( 20974356 and 20977888 ) ?
2. Why the sizes of 2 plexes don't match ( 20974356 and 20977888 ) ?
3. Why the sizes of subdisks are different betwe
Dear Volume Manager Gurus,
I though that creating the Veritas Volume in memory is possible, but I
couldn't find the way to do it.
Did I see Volume in memory in my dream or this is possible in real life?
Thank you,

I don't see why it wouldn't be supported... Why do you need more than
one DG in resource group ??

Dear All,
I wanted to clone the server by mirroring the root disk and changing
the group id with vxprivutil (Solaris 8, SF5 MP3). Looks like I have
used "vxprivutil" incorrectly...
2 Questions:
A) Not sure if I should reboot reboot this server or my best bet is to
go back to the original group ID.
Dear VxVM Gurus,
Thanks in advance to everyone who find time to respond.
My system:
Solaris 8, Sun E3500, VxVM 3, / is ufs, encapsulated, mirrored.
My problem:
df shows 6G available in /, attempt to copy 30M file errors out with
"not enough space left on device". We had a power loss over the
week
Darren,
Thanks a lot. You are always very helpful.

Dear All,
This question is slightly off topic, apologies for this.
Could you please share your experience from using Veritas Clustered FS.
Background information:
We are using RedHat GFS ( RHEL 5.2, FC storage (Sun 6140) shared
between 4 servers) and getting complaints about performance. Do you

Dear List,
Apologies for the dummy question: what is the difference between SFCFS
vs. SFCFS HA ?
Looks like I can't have SFCFS without VCS (see QUOTE 1)? VCS provides
HA so, do I get even more HA :) when buying SFCFS HA ?

Dear List,
I am new to VVR ( has configured it once before without any issues,
but past performance doesn't guarantee the future results :) )
First steps have been completed, but I can't do the initial sync. Any
ideas are appreciated.
I have done so far:
1. setup a volume group with data volume
network settings.
