I have a bunch of solaris 8 boxes 3.5 vcs, vm, vxfs, etc. They are all
connected to a clariion cx-600. They all have system disks in a rootdg with
mirrored, bootable disks under veritas control. And I've never had an issue
with luns under vcs control coming up out of sync, or booting off either
disk, etc

Can you tell me why you don't like rootdg?

Thanks.

Thats good to hear, thanks.

It's not that I don't LIKE rootdg, it's just that this system only has room
for two disks and this version of VxVM requires a rootdg. Personally, I
have had better luck with Disk Suite/SVM than Encapsualting the root disk.
But everyone has different experiences with that so it seems more like six
of one, half a dozen of the other.
