When I enter the proxy server address manually I get: Could not
resolve hostname `http://10.10.9.101': Host not found
I can ping this host with no problem.
Without this I cannot use Versions to access SVN repository outside
the firewall.
Any ideas?

Never mind. I made it work by unchecking the Use Proxy for HTTP(S)
connections in Versions Preferences, and editing the file
~/.subversion/servers as described in this post

Any chance Versions could use the Mac OS X proxy settings? I am behind
a corporate firewall and we have an autoproxy configuration script
that assigns a proxy server. Entering that proxy server address
directly does not seem to work, and it is subject to change. Plus I
want to skip proxy
Hi,
During the last 15 days I have been actively using Versions and I am
very satisfied with the application. The only problem I've got is that
almost 40% I am working in a network that requires proxy
configuration, so if I have to use versions I have to make sure that I
checkout before moving
I got the same problem a few month ago.
For the moment, they announced they will support proxy in a future
version, but nothing for now.
There is a quick fix. You can edit the file ~/.subversion/servers and
add these lines:
[global]
http-proxy-port=8080
http-proxy-host=yourproxy.com
However
how can i get versions to work behind a firewall/proxy?

Hello, I would like to know if there is some progress on this
features.
I still can't use Versions for work because of the proxy support.
Best regards,
Neoraptor.

Hi Neoraptor,
Progress is being made and we have a basic implementation of proxy
support now. It was scheduled to be in the next update, but we've
decided to release 1.0.7 first to take care of a couple of critical
bugs, before we're done with fleshing out and testing new features
like this one
I've the very same problem. I have to use a Proxy in my network to
connect to internet sites. But Versions.app doesn't seem to recognize
the systems proxy settings, nor have it's own option to configure
proxy usage.
Is this a bug or a feature?
kind regards
Falko

Very happy with the product, but it sorely needs to support Proxy
Servers.
It would be best if it just used the Proxy Settings from Network
Preferences, but if that's not easily supportable, then a Version
specific proxy setting would be great.
Even if you only support HTTP/HTTPS proxies
Yes please add proxy support to Versions. It should be pretty simple
just editing the setting in the .svn setting to match the system
proxy.
