This would be my normal workflow: update my project's working copy in
Versions, do my work, run update again before committing. Now, at the

You're right that this unintuitive behavior is the way Versions works. I've
requested the ability to compare any 2 arbitrary files before, but it would
be more intuitive to be able to choose the .mine/.rXX files from the Compare
Diff... dialog.

I found out, that this is a general problem on Mac OS X due to
differences in the actual encoding of umlauts in filename, even if it
is UTF8 or not. After some testing I've experienced this behaviour
with other svn clients and even the command line client too. Is there
any way to solve this?
