Hi Tony, From being in the northeast; tying and fishing streamers, I will add a few comments. This fly needs some peacock herl, topping, or bucktail to fill in the open space...of course becoming Carrie Stevens Ghost like. The first thing I always look at are the finish on the heads

Am I alone? I use a Materilli whip finisher for smaller sized flies, hand whip finish for bigger flies, and use the end of my bodkin which has a hole in the end, simple loop half whip times 3 over really tiny flies. For me, the finish is determined by the size of fly and ease of whip finishing
