Folks: I'm getting my 14ft aluminum on boat ready for the fishing season now and I'm using both aluminum brazing rods and JBW (JB Weld to seal up the edges of a cpl little fiberglass cracks from years ago and the brazing rods for and loose rivets, and a couple of 1" or so cracks. But after all that, I plan to paint the whole bottom of the boat in Flex Seal on the underside of the boat. Has anybody hear used flex seal in the past?? If o, did it work as good as they claim on the TV ads?? I don't believe for a minute you could saw a boat in half, down the middle, then put a motor on it then "glue" the boat back together and it not leak or come apart, but I do want it to protect against last as good as possible.
Thing is, in order to put two coats on the bottom of my boat I need two quarts (if not more and the stuff is #0 per qt and that's a lot of money to me. Thanks. Wife and I got the old fishing licenses renewed an I' just waiting on the brazing rods to get her from Chiner LOLL Tracking say thee plane they were on landed in the US yesterday, so maybe I'll have them by Saturday I hope. With a new 55 pound thrust ne trolling motor we bought last yr and combine that thing has a whopping 81 pounds of thrust with my 36 pound foot control trolling moor up front. The thing looks like you could pull a skier behind it when we took it out last yr. My wife sit in back and puts the big motor on high a nd just holds it straight, while I steer the boat from the front and we get to where want to fish pretty fast Chuck --- This email has been checked for viruses by AVG. https://www.avg.com -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VFB Mail" group.
