Hey Tony:

It is good to see your status quo even if it is not the status that you would
prefer. Getting old is no fun but I haven’t found a way to beat it yet. So much
for the “Golden Years”. Both you and Don have experienced severe health
problems. Don’s situation is particularly unfortunate as he is younger than
both you and I. Talking of fingers stiffening up, I am waiting to see a
specialist for “Trigger finger” which is a repeat of the same condition I had
10 or so years ago and I know what it is like to have stiff fingers. I admire
you for trying to build a 1 weight rod - that must be more of a challenge than
a 5 weight. I am glad that both you and your daughter’s family were reunited
briefly with the plane that you built 59 years ago.

Please continue to paste to the list as and when you can because we are all
concerned for you and want to know how you are doing. You continue to be in my
thoughts and prayers.

Don, thanks foe the good wishes. I am status quo. Not doing much.
Last Saturday I got a ride to the Branson show. I was able to tie a few Chili
Peppers. That is the most I have tied in almost three years. Fingers stiffen up
and freeze up that way for several minuets. This makes it hard trying to tie.
I have been trying to get a 1 WT rod made for a friend. Started it over 6
months ago. I might get it done in a couple of months, Dot insists I have a
"baby sitter" when I go downstairs. hard to just snap my fingers to get one
when I can work. When I can work it is only or an hour as the pain in my stump
gets to more than I can handle.
Enough of my griping, I really miss not being active on the list.
Not fly related, The owner of my plane I designed and built 59 years ago flew
up from Kentucky to visit with us two weeks ago. This was while my daughters
family were here. They had never seen my plane. My daughter was just 3 when it
was sold due to my heart attack. I had not seen my baby in about 30 years. Last
time I saw her is when I did a show in SLC. I loved seeing her again.
