maintain through the reel just the right tension on the line.  After what 
seemed an eternity but in fact mustn't have been more than three or four 
minutes I pulled the fish to the side of the boat.  What I saw was an 
eleven-inch yellow perch.   I was thrilled.  Looking down a the fish wavering 
just under the surface, I felt as I thought6 God must feel, in common and at 
one with creation."
