Well folks. It was 62 and sunny this afternoon, so myself and my grand
daughters Cheyenne (15 yrs old) and Katie (13 yrs old) went to the nearby
state owned lakes. Cheyenne and Katie got skunked, and I could one little
ten inch largemouth bass. Nothing to write home about, (I didn't even get a
phone cause I was a city block or so from the camera and/or phone which was
in the car ) but to get out in the sun after 25 o the last 30 days of
pouring down rain it was great. And I must confess, I caught the ass on a
spinning rod and reel, as the wind was gusting to 35 mph and sustained at
20-25 mph, so we used 1/8" jigs.

We first tried flyrods, but that wind blw the fly, line, leader etc every
way but straight.
Anyway, the good Lord willing, we'll get out a lot more this yr than we have
the last two yrs because of my medical issues.
It as also nice to be able to fish till 6:30 because of daylight savings
time which started today, Chuck
