What were they blowing dry? The head cement? Problem with that is that
wind, especially with humid air, will cloud up head cement or put a frosty
outer layer on it.
I know tiers that have tried to hook up blowers to their drying wheels, and
after just opted for small fans at low speeds- just
drying after use. Some ppl fish the fies we used to ty.

Hi Gang,
I'm in the market to buy an additional jacket for winter fishing. I have
already a Wading Jacket from Orvis which I like most, now I'm looking
for something which keeps me dry and warm even in Winter, and not only
for fishing.
When I browse through the shops, I see that outdoor jackets l

Hi Guys;
That guy blow dries the material to get it to shrink and I think it causes some
type of color change.

Rene,
I really like Simms stuff but it is pricey. I bought a Hodgman wading
jacket at Sportsmans Warehouse a few years back and I love it. It has big
pockets so I can put in a few fly boxes. It is short so it stays out of the
water. And I think it is good looking so I wear it a lot around town
I didn't get the url for the video, but I found it quickly again by googling

Agreed - but Neville, he says the fish love it. I may have to try
one of those out. Who knows? Maybe I'll become a lure fisherman. :-P
I still find it interesting that people pay all those big bucks for
true rotary vises (Nor
Is anyone using this program? I started years ago to use it. I thought I
might try again but I need it updated to the current Access database and I
know enough to get me in trouble but not fix this. Anyone updated the
program?

You might as well use a flatfish!
Re: NorVise I have one. I bought it secondhand and I like it for certain
types of flies. You can sure apply dubbing very quickly and effectively with
it using the full rotary function. I use different vises for different
purposes. I use a 1984 Regal Inex for tying

Neville,
I agree. I watched the YT- all 4min21sec. of it, and he already had the anchor
and foam down. Now I see what he's using the blow-drier for- to melt the
fly-away junk.
This fly, startting where he did, would take 45 seconds to tie (at most) using
the rope-dub, and give a perfect shap

I got one of those from Tom Tullis at a Denver show.
Still have it in my collector's flies box.
He had a tank with a pump in it pushing water over the fly, making it
wiggle.
That's probably why it's called a Wiggle-bug, huh.

Hey, Ashley! Forgive me I don't know how to use this list very
well. I do like to use tube flies on the Blues. They do have a
junction tube connecting the hook to the tube with the crease fly
pattern I tie but the Blue fish didn't seem to have any problems
dislodging the fly if you get my mean
Larry Tullis I think Don. He is the one I think originated that wiggle bug.

Thanks, Jack.
I remembered seeing this but forgot where to find it. I may have to
tie some this Winter.
