Don't know how I came up with this, but I remembered a young man who was in my patrol at the National BSA professional training school at Schiff Scout Reservation In Mendham New Jersey in 1965. His name was Pythe Allistair Cadwallader. I always thought that'd make a great name for a Fly fishing writer. I can still see Pythe and his Sherlock Holmes pipe, tweed jacket, and that funny hat he wore.
Anyway, for your enjoyment or maybe not, here's a list of suitable Surnames that I came up with for fly fishing writers or outdoor writers in general. Abercrombie Ambrose Burchenwale Archibald Beckenhauer Halliburton Hickenlooper Kalkwasser Loudermilk Lutherenbeck Mullendore Hammerlund Terwilliger I'm sure you can think of some also. I can just smell the aroma of pipe tobacco as I read the list. Maybe I'll change my writing name from Jimmy D. Moore to James Davidson Cadwallader. LOL A little off subject, but still . . . . .
