Way to go Mike. A hole in one is indeed a rarity. I've had only one and that was on a par three when I was on my college golf team in 1960. And, believe it or not I made it with my putter on a 130 yard par three. My teammates had already hit and missed the green. I said I could do better with my putter.So I hit the putter as hard as I could and it rolled and bounced all the way to the green and into the hole. My teammates said my hole in one with my Ben Hogan putter didn't count, but that didn't hold water. Doesn't make any difference which club you use. The result is what counts. Congrats, Mike. I have been playing for 30 years and have only come as close as a one hop that hit the pin and left me a 8 foot putt. 18 inches another time on the same hole.
