There was another simple one I like I cannot find but it was something like:
tail - Rainey's blue or olive damsel fly body - use marker to stripe
Thorax - dubbing to match tail (dry fly)
Wings - z-lon, congo hair or similar (congo hair sheds water pretty well)
Legs - optional. I like them and

Get some of the non lip shelf matting from some store.
Get blue matting if you can or color with a pen to blue.
Tie some type of material across the front for wings.
Have got some fish onthese just as they hit the water.
