free software
'perian' ( http://perian.org/ ) which then allows flv's to be opened in
quicktime, and thus
look at bitrate codec info using quicktime movie inspector window.

My solution is a bit more expensive, but solves multiple problems ... a
wireless microphone kit with an adapter to any XLR mic. The Azden kit's
XLR adapter will phantom power any single microphone.
I own a wireless mic set because I need one, the phantom power is a
bonus. It's more expensive
I noticed a handful of my posts were not being copied
from iTunes to either my iPhone or iPod. A new feature
in Leopard shows bit rate when you get info on a
file. The posts that weren't copied had higher than
700 bitrates. Coincidence?
