I'm just starting my video blog - a site for the archive the hundreds of hours of video I've collected of NYC performance art over the past several years - and after slogging through numerous themes and plugins trying to find exactly what I wanted, I settled on using Justin Tadlock's theme, Visionary <http://justintadlock.com/archives/2007/11/04/visionary-wordpress-theme> . It's meant to be more of a "newspaper" format, but I'm finding that the excerpts with thumbnails on the front page provide an excellent alternative to a traditional "gallery", and allows me to feature what I want on the home page.
This is my site (still building, clip-by-clip): http://www.toxicpop.tv <http://www.toxicpop.tv> tt --- In videoblogging@yahoogroups.com, "David S Kessler" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > hi. so i'm starting a brand new video blog and i'm thinking what i > want besides the standard blog format is a gallery that shows many > thumbnails and plays either in a window or pops up like vPIPs thickbox. > > i found this one > http://blog.vodpod.com/?p=230 > but it demands that i know some code to set it up and i don't like > that it doesn't use my own thumbnails. > > this should sit comfortably on the home page. > > anyone know of anything like that? > > > david > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
