As for my using YouTube, these are other people's videos and although I could download them onto my own server, I don't want to scrape them and remove them from their context, stats, etc. I am still using vPIP all the time. One virtue of vPIP is that it minimizes the latency in starting a video download. In most cases, it is almost instant. I do not use a buffer and keep the bitrate low enough not to need one for moderate bandwidth. Thanks for the reply, Jay.
