The left video window is called the "Viewer" and the right one is the
"Canvas".  Just above the Canvas are three little buttons.  The right
button has an option for "Image+Wireframe".  This will allow you to
move and resize the video.  If you want multiple vids, just add a new
video track and resize/move that too.

As for the sizing issue, make sure to check the Final Cut dropdown and
click the Easy Setup option.  You'll want something like DV-NTSC.  To
confirm, check the size of your video in the Canvas at 100% rather
than Fit to Window or Fit All.  If that isn't the issue, then it must
be in your export settings.

Note I'm using Pro so it may be a little different in Express, but I
doubt it on these two.
