hi all finally got round to capturing some DV and have done some H.264 v. 3ivx testing.
Outcomes at <URL: http://hypertext.rmit.edu.au/vlog/archives/2005/09/02/h264-v-mpeg4-with-3ivx/ > contrary to some experience reported here the difference in quality, at same data rate, is dramatic. H.264 eats 3ivx for breakfast.
