I've been using the Rode Video Mic on my Canon HV20 for a few weeks
now and I really like it. Yesterday it dawned on me that because it
supplies it's own power (via 9v battery) and has a 1/8 mini plug I
could probably use it as a computer mic too. So I plugged it into my
MacBook Pro and found it
well, that's spiffy.thanks!

I bought this mic a couple of weeks ago. It is an amazing piece of
equipment, and not expensive at all.

The word citizen journalist has always bugged me a littlebut I
guess the idea is for regular people to use journalistic techniques
when telling stories about the world around them.
What's interesting is when professional journalists use blogger
techniques in their reporting.
Its a nice give

Last night, at the Westerly whole foods store, I was picking up a few
things and saw this woman with cold sores on her face, right by the
bulk foods section. She was holding up one of those furry toy size
dogs to the side of her face. I thought to myself, How handy, did she
get them from the dog?

Hello,
Are you looking for an already made turnkey solution?
Or are you looking for hosting space to make a system do this?
See ya

Hi all,
We are putting together our stuff for the A YEAR AT THE WHEEL trip, any
suggestions on
gear? We have 2 cameras, a laptop, and a Marantz digital recorder.
I feel like we are gonna need a lot more stuff, and could use some ideas on
transporting it.

I think Cruxy does just what you're looking for. Talk to Nathan.
He is on this list, so I don't think he'll mind me posting his email:

Hello,
What you are looking for is usually called Video on Demand... and is
often shortened to VOD.
Although the search engines are quote spammed when you search for any
of those terms. But you might find something.
My advice for you would be to try to avoid licensing costs or
lock-in for
Veoh.com allows you to set a price for your videos if you upgrade to Pro, I
believe. But I'm a viewslut so I always make mine free.

Given that your manifesto is about less, not more, perhaps you have all you
need at this juncture?
I would add a satellite phone or satellite internet connection, but I don't
know how remote you plan to get, or how often you will be returning to areas
of cellular coverage or available WiFi

I just wanted to share my daily vlog with members of the group showing
a project just completed in Cambodia. This project began with the
Vloggercon t-shirts donated to the Sharing Foundation in Cambodia. Beth
Kanter does volunteer work with them, and talked about wanting to bring
Pro's and Con's to DIY. Big on list is reliability and liability. How
much time you want to put into it vs turning it over to someone else.
Do you want a turnkey solution? The preview to be nearly impossible to
download? Are you looking for Learning Management System

They mixed some YouTube vids in there, too, but they gave good time to Jay
and Ryanne as well. I had just turned on the tube and they were in the
process of going to a commercial, and they led with an image of Ryanne from
her (and Jay's) famous series of loverly videos. So how 'bout that, huh?
In Eagle Rock (where they filmed Reservoir Dogs) they have a old movie
theater, the Eagle Theater, which may be available for rent. I think it may
still be owned by Fred Eric, who also owns the hipster cafe Fred 62 in Los
Feliz:
