If you've heard of the VideoNow, Juicebox, etc. it looks quite similar,
only this one follows the model of the iTunes store where you buy
content online and download instead of buying discs or chips.
It says it supports: WMV, ASF, MPG-1, AVI

this is awesome.
if you go into the site...they have a sample video.
they say you can buy videos from their store...AND record video from the TV.
so there must be a video in.

so the hack we need is its ability ot accept feeds?
i wonder if itd be hard to sync to it from FireAnt.

It says you can transfer files from your PC (Windows of course), so it
might not be too hard to get automatic synching working.

Who needs an iPod or PSP? The VuGo is coming:

i know its hard to say without touching the device...but do you think
the VUGO will show up as a HD...and we could just drag files into it?

again, the biggest challnge is the fucking transcoding.
QT is a no go on the vogo.
WMV is a WMscrewed on the iPod. (cant think of something that rhymes with pod).

(Mac software coming soon!)

This looks to pretty much be a toy, because, well... It *is* a toy. But
who knows? Some inventive hackers might play around with them and push
the limits of what they can do in the world of portable video.
