I've finally found a replacement for MPEG Streamclip which I've been using to convert my final HD MPEG2 blogs into MP4 for YouTube and iTunes. MPEG Streamclip was painfully slow, taking well over an hour to convert a 10 minute 1280x720 clip. I'm now using Handbrake: http://handbrake.fr/ It's open

Cool! One thing that mpeg streamclip will do that handbrake won't is allow you to edit the original video into chunks first. If you know you're not planning to use the whole thing, it makes sense, and speeds up the whole process. But sure - if you're doing the whole thing, handbrake is a great
