Go with the more edgy title. Science Babe is a fine title-- it's hot and catchy. I do Hold my Beer and Watch This and thought people might be put off by the beer in the title. People love it. If your audience is under 12, they won't be watching your show, and if they're over 12, they know what a babe is and use the word in everyday speech. Hi all, I am new to this wonderful community of videobloggers and I would love to pick your smart brains to create a brand name for my blog. My name is Debbie and I am starting a blog on The Science Behind Everyday Life. The show is intended to be funny and engaging and will present scientific topics of practical concern in lay terms and in an entertaining way. Examples are: physics of high heels, science in the kitchen, global warming, Einstein's relativity, electricity and the human body. My life purpose is to bring together different disciplines and show the relevance of scientific discoveries to our everyday activities. Some preliminary (still raw) video footage is available to watch at www.sciencebabe.blogspot.com I came with the word science babe to brand myself cause I thought it was catchy and engaging... but recently I've got comments on the fact that it's maybe a bit too sensual. I am curious of what your take is on it. I like the idea of being a female physicist and branding that... but don't know if that name does the trick. I bought the domains sciencewoman.com, sciencebabe.tv, askdoctordebbie... Some other ideas are: translighted.com (sounds like translated and it's about shedding light unto the world of science?), sciencesiren.com, sciencemaiden.com, scienceray, timereversals.com and so on... I would *really* appreciate any advice/suggestions you may have on this! Thanks so much, Debbie.
