Apple has held discussions with recording companies about licensing music videos for sale at $1.99 each, the Journal added.
Meanwhile, Apple filed for a trademark this month on the term "ipodcast." AppleInsider.com reported that the company requested trademark ownership in several filings on Sept. 4 to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. You can read the applications here and here.
