My suggestion was not to make voting compulsory, something videobloggers aren't exactly in a position to do anyway, but to work on getting people to vote so that they can hold their then truly elected leaders responsible.

Whilst the USA is often used as an example of shockingly low turnout,
its a problem affecting many countries, its getting worse. The problem
appears to be a lack of credibility on the part of politicians, if
there is 'nobody decent' to vote for, people wont bother.

I suggest that the general dislike of Big Governemnt in the USA means
that something like compulsory voting would be part of the problem,
not solution.
