Good to know, Jen, thanks.

Is anyone planning a vlogger-focused how-to for embedders? Or do the
Microsoft and Apple pages with sample code and JavaScript files suffice?

Hey ya'll,With the help of Markus Sandy I was finally able to finish updating the Freevlog version of Josh's pop-up maker to embed Quicktime and Windows Media via external _javascript_. So now, using it does fix the Microsoft-Eolas deal. Give it a try:

That's the one I fixed-- the most recent 2 videos (since in an unusual
case, I post twice in one day). I fixed it with Enric's vPiP, so it
should work, and it did when I tested it. Did you refresh from cache?

I'm glad Andrew was able to implement the Apple Javascript workaround
fairly painlessly. I'm planning on doing the same. I'm still not sure how
to specify a poster frame among the variables one can pass to the
Javascript, though. Any ideas?

Another thought: Since videobloggers love their buttons and badges, and
also "sticking it to the man," this whole mess might be a good prompt for
us to join the "Browse Happy" club:

http://browsehappy.com/

Put a link and/or graphic on your vlog page that basically says, "Best
viewed in something other than Internet Explorer."

Yeah - I understand that Bill. For me the problem is even one embed quicktime movie is enough to make scrolling on a blog suck big time.On 4/16/06, Bill Streeter
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:Actually the way Vpip works is that it doesn't actually embed the
movie untill the thumbnail is clicked. Then it dynamically embeds themovie in the jpgs place (works with WMV SWF MP4 and QT) and if anothermovie is activated the script unembeds any other movies on the page.
So it would be imposible to have more than one embeded movie on thepage at a time. It's actually a really nice solution.Bill StreeterLO-FI SAINT LOUISwww.lofistl.com
