Subject: [videoblogging] What I have to offer

After reading Jan's and Raymond's evocative posts, I guess it's time for
me to step forward, introduce myself, and let you know what I have to
offer. I've been a member for about a week; not long in lurker terms,
but as a veteran of cyberspace, I know it's prudent to observe before
 jumping in.

By profession I am a writer, communications consultant, and educator. I
am on the faculty at Canada's largest college, but I'm not an academic.
I've spent most of my life in the business world. I have been involved
in various forms of communication technology for many years. My focus is
content and computer-mediated communication, not the hardware to make it
happen, just to make that distinction.

I have varied interests, and while they seem to run off in all
directions, there's a kind of weird convergence in the realm of
communication. Sometimes what I'm communicating is completely nuts, but
I think that's still valid. If there's one thing I am certain of, it is
that the world needs more joy, more silliness, and more laughter. I try
 to do my part.

My vlog is new. I'm still working out the kinks technology-wise but I
know where it is going to go. I've been working with some limitations,
but those will get overcome in time. I think it will end up as something
uniquely Beth, which of course is the goal of a good vlog.

As to what else I have to offer, I will gladly review anything you'd
like feedback on, and give you my considered and constructive comments.
I'm also a coach and business consultant, so those skills are freely
available to anyone who'd like to get help on anything. A Google search
or a perusal of my exhausitive CV on my college page will tell you
anything else you want to know.

I'm looking forward to being a contributor to this group!

 Cheers,

Welcome.

Glad to have someone in here who teaches people how to laugh!

Looking forward to seeing a vlog on that.
