I am thinking the fact that he uses an awful lot of uncleared clips makes
standard distribution a problem.

The film is available for instant viewing on Amazon which means there is
someone out there who has sold rights in the US recently. Your best bet
would be to try to find someone at Amazon willing to tell you who they
bought it from. The last known US distributor was VCI and they are still
around and
