I see that notice on the film's website with the link to New Day for purchase.
I'm sure the filmmaker is trying to control distribution and make sure that
institutions buy the institutional version (and I don't think it's available on
amazon, so they would probably just decline a direct order
I randomly checked three other titles on the site and did NOT see this so
it is possible that this misinformation was in fact posted directly by the
filmmaker. I will say that filmmakers often do not understand basic
copyright law re "face to face". I rather suspect in this case it was the
