Hi Folks,
I'm getting close to releasing my latest documentary. Are you folks
transitioning over to Blu-ray? Do DVDs still have a place in libraries? How
much of your new purchases are streaming as opposed to physical media?

What would be the appropriate cutoff point for tiered pricing? And how
much of a discount? I'm an independent documentary filmmaker and I'm
certainly open to giving a discount to sell more DVDs.

I'm a filmmaker with only a few titles and most of my orders go
through Paypal, but I'm happy to accept a check. I'd rather wait a few
weeks or so for a check than lose an order.
Has anyone used Dwolla? They transfer the money from one bank account
to another. It's much cheaper than Paypal, but
filmmakers enter a festival without a final sound mix, color
correction, etc. I'm sure that most filmmakers in that instance aren't
expecting a rough cut to be circulated anywhere outside of that particular
festival.

Thanks for the info, everyone.
Are you more likely to buy based upon on postcard or an email? Is it worth
it for me to spend the extra time and money sending out postcards?

Hi Folks,
What is the best time of year to email librarians about new titles? Do
orders for individual titles originate from librarians or the professors?
