Hi everyone,
Regarding Cadillac Desert - I talked with KQED. While they own the rights,
there are underlying rights regarding distribution that they are still working
on. If you email them at t...@kqed.org<mailto:t...@kqed.org> and identify
yourself as an educational institution,
They will write you about this problem, and give you as much permission as
possible for making a DVD copy.

"You see, I don't believe that libraries should be drab places where people
sit in silence, and that's been the main reason for our policy of employing
wild animals as librarians."
--Monty Python

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
