Hello All,

So, what are you up to this Friday afternoon? Researching films to order? Brainstorming ways to best promote your collections? Working with student groups to plan and license campus screenings? A common thread that involves all of these activities are the distributors who select the content they provide, create outreach tools, and negotiate licenses (among many other things!). If you have questions about these or any other distributor-related topics, you still have a few more days to submit them <https://www.cognitoforms.com/NationalMediaMarket1/AskTheExhibitorsRealQuestionsRealAnswers> for discussion at the upcoming exhibitors' panel at National Media Market. The panel, "Ask the Exhibitors: Real Questions, Real Answers", will take place Wednesday 10/26 at 6pm, so you have until midnight on Tuesday to submit. You do not need to be a NMM attendee to submit a question; I'll summarize the discussion and share with VideoLib after the conference.

Have a great weekend, and safe travels to those I will see next week in Baltimore!

On Wednesday, October 26 at 6:00 pm, NMM conference participants can ask a panel of NMM's exhibitors the questions they have about film distribution. For example,

·How do NMM Exhibiting Partners select films for distribution?

·How can vendors collaborate with librarians to promote content
       to end users?

·How do vendors approach screenings when they know the
advertising organization has not secured public performance rights?

Conference registrants and others who are interested can submit
questions _in advance_ for our panel representing Exhibiting
       Partners.

Submit your questions to the moderator by clicking on this form

<https://www.cognitoforms.com/NationalMediaMarket1/AskTheExhibitorsRealQuestionsRealAnswers>
_before midnight on Tuesday, October 25.___

Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you in Baltimore in a few weeks! For those who are not able to attend, panel moderator Meghann Matwichuk will share her summary of this session with the VideoLib listserv.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
